Write a model call people can say yes to
The best model calls answer every question a model would ask before messaging:
- The exact service and technique ("long layers with curtain bangs", not "haircut").
- Date, time, and how long it takes.
- Price: free, or the exact product fee and what it covers.
- Who it's for: hair length, texture, and anything that rules people out, like recent box dye.
- Where: the salon and neighborhood.
- Whether you'll take photos.
On Freestyle Models, these are fields in the posting form, so models can filter for sessions that fit them.
Where to find models
- Post on Freestyle Models: models in New York browse by service and neighborhood, and get alerts for new sessions.
- Share your session link in your Instagram story with a link sticker. Your followers' friends are your next models.
- Ask past clients and models to share it.
- Partner with nearby colleges and offices that have student or employee perks boards.
Screen models before the day
Ask for a recent photo of their hair in natural light, front and back, and ask about past color and treatments. It takes a minute and saves a wasted session.
Cut no-shows
- Confirm the day before, and send the address and what to bring.
- Keep a short waitlist: mark your session as Waitlist on Freestyle Models once it's booked.
- Be clear about timing up front. Models who know it takes four hours plan for it.
Mark sessions Full as soon as they're booked. It keeps your page trustworthy and models keep coming back to check your new sessions.
Ready when you are.
